Maybe lot of you don't know I left San Diego Jan 1990 on a 41 DeFever Trawler and with my wife at the time for a four year cruise. We came back and lot of things happen in the 19 years I did not go cruising but in 2005, November I left again this time with my brother nad his wife Alice. How many miles have I traveled in those years a lot.

I was coming back from Puerto Escondido just passing San Jaunico, I was heading to meet up with my brother in Conception Bay. All of a sudden there was this bird that landed on my bow!! then this bird turns and looks at me for a few seconds and flies off. The reason I am telling this story is that I have cruised from 1990 to 2010 off and on and never have I had a bird land on my boat while I am traveling. Maybe because of Ace he keeps the birds and anyone else off the boat. When the bird turned to look at me I took this picture.

Cruisers Tree, San Jaunico, Baha,MX

The Cruiser Tree is a bush setting in San Jaunico Bay. Great place to dive, beauty of the mountains and three beautiful beaches. Two years ago Cindy & I went to the Cruiser Tree and left a Plaque of wood for our friends we have met on the way to see. Also if we went back there was something for us to look forward to, that is seeing the tree again. I did not go to the tree in 2009 and I was spending most of my time in Canada. When I left Cindy the last time I remember setting on the front step of her sister and brother-in-law's house talking about the Cruiser Tree. Cindy wanted me to open the wine bottles and read the notes she had written for me.

I have to tell you I could not wait to get to the tree and see if my bottles were still there. Their had been a Hurricane go threw last year and I told Cindy that it would be lucky if anything is still there including the tree. I stopped in Santa Rosalia and met a couple with two kids and I asked them if they had been there? they said yes, did you see "Grumpy" plaque?? the lady said yes, it had "No Regrets" on it. I said yes, then I asked was there two wine bottle on the wooden plaque?? she said "NO". Well my brother and I went a shore to find the plaque and the wine bottle and to no avail there were no wine bottles. A very sad day for me.

Loreto Fest, Puerto Escondido, Baja MX

Hello everyone it has been a long time I know to up-date my blog. I wanted to start with the Loreto Fest. It was a big turn out this year and I missed last year Fest as most of you know. They moved the Fest to the parking lot of the Singular Marina. At first I was not to happy about that but after 400 people and 200 boats the biggest turn out yet, the new Facility was the best. I threw Horse Shoes, missed the dinghy race which I hate to say. They brought in the dancer from the college to dance the countries dances for us and that was great and the $1.00 Pacifico beer was the best.
