Sail Rock & Isla Angel De La Guarda

Isla Angel De La Guarda is the second largest island in Mexico. It has many anchorages and also is about thirty-five miles long. Bill and I left Don Juan a Hurricane hole in LA Bay heading our forty miles or so to Isla Mejia,Isla Division, Isla Granita all forming a well protected anchorage from all winds, using the main island Isla Angel De La Guarda as protection also.

As you approach the anchorage there is a Sail Boat setting about a mile off shore and the first picture was taken about three to four miles away. The second one was taken about a mile and the last picture was taken up close maybe fifty yards away as we head into Angel Island Anchorage. The last picture is of my brother as we head into the anchorage. We anchored here for three hours and we worked on the boats getting them ready for the long over nighter to Rocky Point. (Puerto Penasco) We left at 3pm and we arrived in Rocky Point at 5:30am. Made great time and I have to say it feels good to be back home.
